Annual essay contest

Each year, Lutherans for Life hosts an essay contest for students in grades 6-12, allowing young people to express their pro-life views through writing an essay based on a specific theme and Bible verse. Student essays are submitted in middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) categories. Prizes are given to Missouri winners by LFL of MO and to national winners by the national organization. Winners are also often invited to read their essays at an LFL meeting or conference.
